This course aims to introduce students to the sciences of the Quran, covering the revelation process, the preservation of the Quran in both memory and written form, and its unique characteristics. The course explores the concept of revelation, its meaning, methods, and the importance of arranging verses and chapters. It also examines the reasons for revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul), the classification of Makki and Madani verses, and various types of Quranic interpretation (Tafsir) and their methodologies.
يهدف هذا المقرر إلى تعريف الطلاب بعلوم القرآن، من خلال تغطية عملية الوحي، وحفظ القرآن في الصدور والكتب، وخصائصه الفريدة. يستكشف المقرر مفهوم الوحي ومعناه وطرقه وأهمية ترتيب الآيات والسور. كما يتناول أسباب النزول، وتصنيف الآيات المكية والمدنية، وأنواع التفسير القرآني ومناهجه.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يدرس الطلاب القراءات المختلفة للقرآن الكريم، وترجمة القرآن، والتمييز بين الآيات المحكمة والمتشابهة، والناسخ والمنسوخ، والحروف المقطعة في بعض السور. كما يناقش المقرر جهود الخليفة عثمان رضي الله عنه في جمع القرآن، والفرق بين المصحف العثماني والمصاحف السابقة، ومظاهر الإعجاز القرآني المختلفة.

Understand the rulings related to the arrangement of verses and chapters.
Examine the reasons for the revelation of specific verses (Asbab al-Nuzul).
Gain knowledge of Quranic recitations and their fundamental principles.
Identify various types of Tafsir (Quranic exegesis) and their methodologies.
Analyze the different aspects of the Quran’s miraculous nature.
