Dr. Alyaa Elramady

The SALAM Center for Higher Islamic Learning is honored to welcome Dr. Alyaa Elramady as a Visiting Faculty Member for the Fall 2025 semester.
Dr. Alyaa Elramady is a mechanical engineer with a Ph.D. in Materials Science and extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. She has taught at various engineering institutions, bringing a wealth of academic expertise and professional insight to her students. In addition to her scientific accomplishments, Dr. Alyaa holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Minnesota (2016). She has also received an ijazah in Qur’an memorization according to the Warsh recitation, as well as an ijazah in Al-Qaida Al-Nooraniyyah.
Her journey at SALAM has included teaching tajweed and leading tafsir halaqa sessions during the Friday Night Program, where her passion for Islamic education has touched the hearts of many. Her unique blend of technical expertise and religious scholarship allows her to connect with diverse audiences and contribute meaningfully to both STEM and faith-based communities.
Insha’a Allah, Dr. Alyaa will serve in the English Track of the Seminary Program at the SALAM Center for Higher Islamic Learning, where she is scheduled to teach the “Introduction to Islamic Aqeedah” course during the Fall 2025 semester. Her addition to the faculty reflects a meaningful advancement of SALAM’s mission of spiritual development, academic excellence, and community empowerment.
